The Boogeyman is back, and Jamie Lee Curtis is ready for him, she thinks!
Danny McBride (Tropic Thunder, Eastbound and Down) and David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Eastbound and Down) have written and directed the next installment in the Halloween franchise bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode to battle the Boogeyman, Michael Meyers!
Its 40 years since the serial killer Michael Meyers killed his sister and set off a bloody rampage in Haddonfield, Illinois by the Boogeyman with only Laurie Strode escaping the knife. Strode spent 4 decades preparing for Michael’s return by training, target practice with guns and preparing her home with safe rooms, gun lockers, flood lamps, surveillance and steel barred doors to trap the monster. This Psychosis drove away Laurie’s daughter Karen and kept her from any kind of relationship with her or her granddaughter Allyson.
Michael Meyers, aka the Boogeyman, has spent the past 4 decades in a maximum-security prison without uttering a single word. True crime podcasters Dana Haines and Aaron Korey visit Meyers with permission of his new physician Dr. Sartain. Dr Sartain is fascinated by the killer just as his last Dr Loomis who paid for it with his life. Korey tries to get a response by Meyers but there is nothing even after pulling out the Boogeyman’s mask! Michael escapes during a prison transfer and makes his way to Haddonfield Illinois after a stop at a gas station killing Haines and Korey and retrieving his mask.
