Molly (Thompson) has always been fascinated with space and it got ramped up when she came face to face with a blue furry alien hiding in her stuffed animals.  Two mysterious men in black suits showed up to questions her parents and ending up zapping them and wiping their memories of the visit (they were neutralized). Molly was not affected and help the creature escape. Now Molly made it her goal to be the best and find the Men in Black and join them.

Molly applied to the FBI and the CIA only to be told there was no secret agency. Sophie Turner- Jean Grey

Jennifer Lawrence- Raven/Mystique

Michael Fassbender- Magneto

Sophie turner completes her metamorphosis in the latest X-Men film “Dark Phoenix”

X-Men: Dark Phoenix starts out with the origin story of Jean Grey, a child born with extreme telekinetic abilities and unable to control them. Young Jean argues with her parents about the music playing in the car, then a rush of voices fill her head and she yells,” Quiet!”. This command renders her mom unconscious, and she was driving, causing them to hit a truck head on. Jean’s parents were killed but she emerges unharmed.

The doctors call in Charles Xavier to take the young girl to his school for “gifted” kids so that Jean may learn to harness her abilities.

A flash forward brings us to the events that immediately followed the X-Men taking down Apocalypse and saving the world.  Charles Xavier, relishing in the new found acceptance of mutants, is dispatching his team of heroes on more and more dangerous missions at the behest of the President and other World Leaders. The latest such mission was to save some astronauts on a shuttle disabled by a solar flare. The X-Men, led by Mystique and Beast (Nicholas Hoult), save the crew but on the last rescue Jean is forced to absorb the power of the solar flare to save the team. ROCKETMAN

Starring:

Taron Egerton- Elton John

Jamie Bell- Bernie Taupin

Richard Madden- John Reid

Egerton is Captain “Fantastic” in “Rocketman”, the new musical based on the life of Elton John.

Director Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle) followed up his successful completion of Freddie Mercury’s life in the rock biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” with “Rocketman”, a musical based on the life of Reginald Dwight…better known as the musical genius Elton John!! Fletcher placed a familiar face in Taron Egerton in the lead as the flamboyant piano man Elton John! Egerton is flanked by Jamie Bell as his brother in music Bernie Taupin and Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) as Elton’s slimy manager John Reid.

I walked into Rocketman expecting another rock biopic, but was pleasantly surprised when young Reginald Dwight (Matthew Illesley) broke into a rendition of “The Bitch is Back” letting the crowd know this is a musical. Its amazing that young Reggie made it out with such a dysfunctional family with a mother, Sheila (Bryce Dallas Howard), who is out with a different guy each night and Stanley (Steven Mackintosh) a military father that showed his child no love. Young Reggie sat down at the piano and played exactly what he heard on the radio prompting his grandma (Gemma Jones) to get him lessons that eventually ended him up at the London music conservatory. Dwight’s introduction at the scholl had the boy play a classical piece from hearing the instructor just playing it having her ask the prodigy “Why didn’t you finish it?” Reggie replied, “That’s where you stopped”. WOW!
