Havin’ A Beer With Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme!

Published by:

Today was National Beer Day, so how fitting to have Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme from Broken Lizard (“Super Troopers”, “Club Dread”, “Beerfest”, “The Slammin’ Salmon”) in St. Louis to celebrate!  After welcoming them to our town (as we enjoyed our Bud Lights), we got right to it; how is the production of “Super Troopers 2” going?  Well, it has been GREAT!  Kevin and Steve have loved diving-back into their characters and the film is nearly half completed.  They gave us a few World Exclusives as well Continue reading

Fanatic Interview with Melissa Rauch from “The Bronze”

MELISSA RAUCH GOES FOR G…….BRONZE?

The_Bronze_poster bronze4

I as fortunate to see an early screening of Melissa Rauch’s (Bernadette from Big Bang Theory) new film “The Bronze” , which she stars and co-wrote with her husband. You can get the Flickanalysis this Friday (3/18), but I sat down with some fellow critics in a round table format to interview Melissa about the film.

Let me start by saying Melissa is one of the nicest celebrities I have ever met and a complete contrast from her character Hope in “The Bronze”. You can hear the complete interview below (spoilers revealed in the interview) , but here are some highlights from the questions asked:

*It wasn’t planned to break the record for using the “F” word in a film, Hope could make Scarface blush!

I asked Melissa if she was an athlete or did any gymnastics in school? She told us that she was the opposite…the most unatheletic person you would meet. The idea came from her liking to watch the Olympics with her husband and a trip back to her home town after her first acting job and was given a free pretzel by a fan!

There were many questions about scenes in the film but we also asked about co-star Gary Cole who plays Hope’s father who goes from pushing parent to dominated provider for Hope. We asked about Stan (Cole) having no life and his only relationship is with his fish. Melissa told us Hope is a handful and all encompassing, keeping Stan to herself.

*Melissa added Hope doesn’t like herself very much, then I added “Except in the first 10 mins of the film” which got a laugh from Melissa. She added Hope loves her past success and continues to live it.

I asked What Bernadette would think of “The Bronze”? Melissa said she would like the film, she would be shocked but would like the movie!

A RARE TREAT! WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK WITH TWO HEROES WHOSE BRAVERY AND VALOR IS ON-DISPLAY IN “13 HOURS: THE SECRET SOLDIERS OF BENGHAZI”!

Published by:

On a beautiful morning in November, we got a rare opportunity for a promotional interview.  Instead of speaking with the stars of an upcoming film, we had the pleasure of speaking with John “Tig” Tiegen and Mark “Oz” Geist (portrayed by Dominic Fumusa and Max Martini in the film).  These two real-life Marines will soon see themselves on the Big Screen (played by other actors) in the upcoming film “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi”.  The film follows the attacks in Benghazi, Libya by Islamic militants on the 11th anniversary of 9/11.  At the time, they were CIA-contractors and Continue reading

SAINT LOUIS GOT TO HOLD DAVID OYELOWO “CAPTIVE” (FOR A FEW MINUTES)!

Published by:

David Oyelowo (Selma, Interstellar, The Butler) was in-town to discuss and promote his new film “Captive, opening in theaters September 18th.  For those aware of David’s work, the role of Brian Nichols is quite the opposite of the fine actor’s personality, but he was drawn to the role due to its “story, complexity, and elements of humanity and spirituality”.  In addition to the film, David also Continue reading
