Well, it’s been 25 years since the “Bad Boys of Summer” popped on the big screen with my favorite cop duo EVER, taking on the bad guys in Miami… and now it seems as both Detective Mike Lowery (Will Smith) and his partner Detective Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are struggling with getting older, Marcus is contemplating retiring from the force, to enjoy what is left of his life, with his family, and new grandbaby.  But for Mike, riding his Detective life into the sunset, is all he ever plans to do.  Well, not so fast here, as it seems someone is hell bent on taking Mike out, and it’s going to not only take Marcus and Mike to find out who it is, but the newly advanced police team known as AMMO (Advanced Metro Miami Operations), full of irritating young cops, to help save Mike from ultimate peril…

Kevin Hart and “The Rock” are going to welcome audiences and greet them with “Welcome Back to Jumanji!”

Director Jake Kasdan (Freaks and Geeks) has brought everyone back to reprise their roles in the next level of the video game movie “Jumanji: The Next level”. Karen Gillan, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Kevin Hart return as the in-game avatars that must navigate the game and win to get the real kids out of the game.

Martha (Morgan Turner), Fridge (Ser’Darius Blain), Bethany (Madison Iseman) and Spencer (Alex Wolf) are heading home after their first year in college and set up to meet at a local eatery for brunch to catch up. Spencer is not feeling confident and is meeting with Martha for the first time since they broke up. Spencer arrives home and is greeted by his mom (Marin Hinkle) and his uncle Eddie (Danny DeVito) who is rehabbing from hip surgery. Eddie is also hiding out from his longtime fiend Milo (Danny Glover) who has been reaching out to him.

 

Bethany, Martha and Fridge all meet up but Spencer is mysteriously absent, so the gang goes to his house and meet Uncle Eddie. Eddie also answers the door to find Milo there. The estranges friends and co-workers trade verbal jabs as milo tries to make a mend. Fridge and the girls discover what they feared, Spencer went back into the game and is back in Jumanji! The kids quickly decide to go save Spencer and activate the game and are drawn back in but this time Bethany is left behind and when they appear as their avatars only Martha (Gillan) is the same one. Fridge is now the zoologist (Hart), Uncle Eddie (Johnson)and Milo (Black) were sucked into Jumanji as well and are completely confused.

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE- Karl Sides (The Flick Fanatics)

James Cameron has brought back Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger to complete his version of the Terminator story arch he began in 1984 with the new film “Terminator: Dark Fate”.

Mexico City 2019.

A ball of Lightning appears on a bridge, then a naked woman falls from the bridge. “Grace”, a time traveling soldier, takes out some federales and steals clothes from the teenagers that helped her. Dani Ramos (Reyes) is a young woman who works with her brother Diego (Diego Boneta) at the auto plant and also takes care of him and her father. Another ball of lightning appears above an apartment building and a man falls to the ground; another Terminator is here. The Terminator is a Rev-9 and shows up at the Ramos home hunting Dani.

Grace, tracks down Dani at the auto plant and tells her and Diego to come with her or they will die in 30 seconds. The Rev-9 aka Gabriel (Gabriel Luna) also appears at the plant as Mr. Ramos in an attempt to kill Dani. Grace get Dani and Diego out and a car chase begins through the streets of Mexico City ending at a bridge where the Rev-9 corners Grace and the kids. The Rev-9 is a different type of Terminator, the 9 is made of both liquid metal and a steel skeletal form that are able to separate and work in tandem as a team. Just as the Terminator charges a truck pulls on to the bridge and a woman with a bazooka gets out and blasts both halves of the Terminator. It is Sarah Conner.

Sarah Conner, the original Terminator target, appears on the bridge just in time to save Dani and Grace. Diego was impaled in the chase and was killed by the Terminator. Sarah explained she is wanted across the country so she is off the grid hunting Terminators. Sarah explained that she gets mysterious texts with coordinates that a Terminator will appear. Grace shows Sarah a set of coordinates that were tattooed on her in case she needs help keeping Dani alive, it is the same location that is texting Sarah.

GEMINI MAN- Karl Sides (The Flick Fanatics)

Will Smith does “Double-Duty” in the new action film “Gemini Man”.

Will Smith is Henry Brogan an ex-marine and aging black ops assassin that is the man you call to get rid of a target the first time. Brogan is in Brussels to kill a scientist that engineers biological weapons. Henry makes the shot from over 200 meters away with the target on a moving train. Brogan hits him in the neck and kills him, only problem is Henry was aiming at his head. Brogan knows his skills are slipping and decides to walk away and retire.

 

Back in the states, an old marine buddy Jack Willis (Douglas Hodge) meets with Brogan to explain that the information was doctored and Henry killed a “loose end” that could inform on the Gemini program run by another ex-marine they know Clay Verris. The dead scientist was actually working for Verris cloning soldiers. The discovery was heard by the CIA who have Brogan under surveillance and know must eliminate him.

All Brogan’s partners are killed and they try to kill him and the CIA agent Danny the girl undercover at the marina. Henry saves her and the two make a run for it in his boat. Henry contacts another marine buddy known as Baron (Benedict Wong) and has him take them to Columbia to get off the grid.

Peter Parker goes on a European vacation and Spidey ends up battling Monsters in Venice!

Spiderman Far from Home picks up immediately after the events of Endgame with a melancholy Peter Parker still reeling from the death of Tony Stark. Tributes and images of Iron Man are throughout the city and the question keeps being asked of Spiderman “Are you the new Iron Man?”  Parker decides to take a vacation to Europe with his class and leave the suit behind.

Happy Hogan is now a regular fixture in Peter’s life, mainly because he is seeing Aunt May (Marissa Tomei). Happy reminds Peter that Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. is trying to get ahold of him and Peter is avoiding him. Peter tells Happy, “I’m on vacation” and the teen has plans to have a romantic trip and tell MJ he likes her. Peter lands in Venice and his plan is progressing until he and Ned get back to their room and Ned is shot with a tranquilizer gun. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is holding the gun and explains,

“You are a hard person to contact Spiderman”.

Fury and Agent Marina Hill (Cobie Saunders) have been in Mexico investigating villages demolished by a sand monster. Fury explains that Spiderman is needed and he is coming with him. Peter tries to explain and asks if there is any other Avenger available, Fury says No. Nick introduces Peter to Quentin Beck and explains he is from Earth just not this one. Peter is exuberant over the idea that there is a multiverse.
